Victoria Romanda, Chief of Staff
Victoria Romanda is Chief of Staff at Peg’s Foundation and provides leadership support and oversees human resources and daily operations. Starting in 2009, she has since been responsible for managing professional development opportunities and executing special assignments on behalf of the president and CEO and board of trustees.
She has a bachelor's degree in social work from The Ohio State University, where she laid the foundation for her career, focused primarily on the field of mental health.
She worked for six years at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and provided counseling and comprehensive pre-and post-natal support to the community-based health clinics. In addition, she established and coordinated an interdisciplinary care team that identified, monitored, and offered services to patients at significant risk of abuse. She also spent ten years with Mental Health America of Summit County where she managed operations and learning opportunities. In addition, she provided technical assistance for a school-based mental health program that served students, school administrators, educators, and parents throughout Ohio.
She has a daughter who lives with a serious mental illness, and she draws from their journey to support other families facing similar challenges.
Victoria is a member of Leadership Akron’s Class 30 and served as a volunteer with Junior Leadership Akron as the program coordinator for three years.
