David J. Frederick, M.S.A.H., Assistant Director of Policy and Implementation
David Frederick, M.S.A.H., is the Assistant Director of Policy and Implementation for the Clear Pathways initiative at Peg’s Foundation. David works to advance the behavioral health crisis care continuum in Ohio and improve access to quality, trauma-informed services for those experiencing mental illness, with a focus on community activation and Medicaid and behavioral health policy work. David has experience working with state agencies, county leadership, community behavioral health and hospital systems, county mental health & addiction boards, provider associations, criminal justice systems, law enforcement/first responders and other partners.
David serves on the Ohio Crisis Task Force, an initiative spearheaded by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services to guide Ohio's vision for a sustainable crisis response system. He also serves on the core working team of Stepping Up Ohio, an initiative to reduce the numbers of people with mental illness in jails. David received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in allied health in health care administration from Otterbein University.
