This exhibition featured works from local artists with pieces representing paintings, photography, collage, graphic design, and sculpture. Each piece was shown during the 2016 Akron Art Prize, an event, that encouraged people to visit the downtown Akron art galleries to view art and learn about artists and their work. During the Akron Art Prize, guests used a digital voting platform and picked their favorite pieces that ultimately determined the winners.
Peg’s Gallery, in the lobby of the Margaret Clark Morgan Building, is one way the Foundation increases awareness and engagement by the general public in the arts. This space is always free and open to the public, which is one way we seeks to increase awareness of and engagement in the arts.
Exhibition ran from June 14, 2017 through August 21, 2017
