Sara Pierce
Sara Pierce is a dedicated public health professional with a strong academic background and diverse experience in health systems, policy, and advocacy.She holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with honors from Washington University in St. Louis. Sara is located inSouthern Ohio.
In her new role, Sara will serve as a Project Coordinator, primarily supporting the BHERi Interoperability Project, where her expertise in cross-sector collaboration and policy development will be invaluable. Additionally, she will assist with the APM Project, focusing on provider scheduling and logistics to ensure seamless operations.
Sara's professional journey includes roles such as Public Health Law & Policy Intern at National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), where she supported cross-sector collaboration, and Public Health Program Specialist at the Missouri Department of Health, where she implemented and monitored Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) programs. Sara also conducted extensive qualitative research on healthy eating trends on TikTok during her senior honors thesis and has demonstrated leadership as a peer mentor and advocate for community health initiatives.
